We went on one excursion in Skagway where we retraced the path of the Klondike gold stampeders on a bus tour up the 3,292-foot White Pass summit. We saw the original "Dead Horse Trail," Brackett Wagon Road, trestles and tunnels of the White Pass and Yukon Railroad, Pitchfork Falls, Moore Bridge, numerous glaciers and peaks, and the U.S./Canadian summit border. Along the way, we heard the stories of hardships and daily life struggles the stampeders faced.
