On Day 7 of our tour, we took an excursion around the Chateaux Country in the Loire Valley. There are hundreds of châteaux in this area, and we were able to tour through three of them. We started with Close Luce, the final residence of Leonardo da Vinci. We then visited Chenonceau, a castle built across a river. And finally we saw Chambord, the largest castle in the Loire Valley, but was built only as a hunting lodge for Frances I.
