Paris

We began and ended our tour in Paris. We saw many wonderful sites, including the Eiffel Tower, Champs-Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre, Paris's Notre Dame, and the Louvre. We also took a river cruise down the river Siene. Paris is a beautiful, but busy, city. It is rich with history and culture. I really enjoyed our stay in Paris!

On our last day in Paris (after the Globus Tour ended, Kristi and I stayed an extra day), we even braved the Metro (subway) to take us around to different landmarks, including the Theater of the Academy of Music and the D'Orsay Museum, and to revisit some landmarks we only got to see briefly on the tour, such as the Louvre gardens and the Place de la Concorde. I thought the Metro was extremely efficient and relatively clean. The only time it got a little scary was when we had to push our way onto a train during rush hour. We had to get up close and personal with several people on the train to not fall out of the door as it closed. It was an interesting time, but we made it through that. :o)
