Monet’s house and garden is a gorgeous site. This garden had many blooming flowers and vines and the house is situated in the perfect spot. Monet’s bedroom window on the second floor had two huge windows overlooking his garden. He painted many of his works from his bedroom windows. Monet’s also had a vast collection of Japanese art displayed throughout his house. I was really surprised by this collection, but he absolutely loved this art and was a great collector. Copies of a lot of his most famous paintings are displayed in the house as well (the originals are kept in museums, such as the d’Orsay and the Louvre). We were not allowed to take pictures inside, but I have quite a few of the gardens.
